Today my sweet, spunky, wild little one is THREE. (Someone pass the tissues!)
On September 20, 2014 at exactly 9:40 pm Ava was brought in the the world by C-Section. This little girl refused to turn (not kidding when I say for at least 3 months -- I have sonograms to prove it!). I still remember everything so vividly. The day my water broke I was headed to a friends party. I made green bean casserole (one of my favorite side dishes!), my husband and I drove to the friends home, I walked up to their porch, and as soon as I stepped foot on the deck, my water broke! We dropped off the casserole, and headed to the hospital immediately. I had to wait 5 hours before meeting her adorable face! To some that might seem like forever, but those were the fasted 5 hours of my life. I was so nervous, and anxious about what was about to happen...would you believe I never had a single painful contraction? It's true. When they handed me my little girl, my heart was so full. We are over the moon happy she is ours!
Ava has grown so much over the year. It's really so incredible how much children change in such a short period of time. Lately, Ava is curious about absolutely EVERYTHING. "Who is this? What is that? Why mamma?" Just a few of the questions I hear throughout the day ;) She is so kind, full of joy and strong willed. She has her daddy's personality (takes nothing seriously!!) and looks more like me everyday.
This year we found out she won't need surgery on her hips, speaks full sentences, loves to sing and dance to absolutely everything, is almost fully potty trained, and helps with chores around the house willingly.
She's too little to read this now, but I hope one day she comes across the blog and sees just how loved she is. We love you, Ava! Happy Birthday!
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
